Thank You to "Fab Over Fifty".....

I want to thank "Fab Over Fifty" for including me in their style blog posting of ..."{Interiors} 3 FOF Interior Designers Tell All"

If you are not familiar with "FOF"... you are in for a treat!  It is a community of "Fabulous" women... Celebrating Women of Style and Substance...and you don't have to be over the age of 50 to appreciate all the wonderful department topics and offerings that it has... even some wonderful give-a-ways.

I don't want to say too much about it... because I think that everyone will find what best interests them among the different venues... it is all about lifestyle... what you bring to it and what you get out of it.

Please check it out, I bet you will spend awhile there... and after you have enjoyed the tour of looking through the website, click on the "Style Blog" tab at the top of the home page for the post that they have included me in!

  1. Congratulations!! I had enjoyed that part of the Fab over Fifty website, and I'm sure your profile is wonderful! I'm just sorry they started soliciting me for my daughters info so she could find a "match". I thought it was very inappropriate and a little perverse. I had misunderstood and thought the website was to celebrate me!! I no longer subscribe to the site.

  2. Hello Anonymous, and thank you for taking the time to visit and to reply.

I don't understand what prompted them to solicit your daughters. I have a daughter and they have never once brought up the subject...and she would be quite a catch!

I know that they have a section for match-making, where some mothers are attempting to find good matches for their sons or daughters... I guess their thinking is that the members are quality women/mothers, and that they would be good sources for other members who may have single adult children wanting to find quality matches. I'm not into the match making section...and I let my children do their own selecting... but I have to admit there have been times when I wished I had a good source to refer them to (maybe I have some Jewish blood in me that I don't know about). I have seen young adults struggle to find "good" compatible mates and friends.

Anyway... that is such a minute part of FOF... and like I said, it has never been part of my experience. But did you let them know how you felt about this? I have to think that somehow you must have gotten on that section of the website and they thought you may have an interest in it.

There is just way too much to like about the website to let that bother you and to take so personal. It isn't so much that it wasn't in celebration of "you"... but some mothers do celebrate their motherhood as being part of what makes themselves and their lives so fabulous!

    Anyway, thanks for stopping by.

The problem with going to that website is that there is sooo much to look at... and it is difficult to do if you are short on time...
